Arcadia, ZAO sponsors the VIII Baltic Science and Engineering Fair which takes place in St. Petersburg State University on January 31 — February 3, 2012. 328 schoolchildren present their own scientific researches: 269 research works in natural and exact sciences (math, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering) as well as history. Applications are assessed by well-known scientists, teachers and businessmen.

RUSSOFT Association Presents the Results of the 9^th Annual Survey of the Russian Software Export Industry

«During the last year there were no critical changes in the world economy. That allowed the Russian software development industry to increase export up to 22% and to reach 4 billion dollars in sales of software and of software development services abroad. The competences and the experience in the sphere of high technologies, the ability to find non-standard solutions are the industry strengths. It is pleasant to see that business skills are added to the technical competences. It is reflected in consecutive strengthening positions of the industry leaders in the international ratings.»

St. Petersburg and Moscow have leading shares in Russian software development industries with more than 90 % share of software exports; moreover, due to favourable location St. Petersburg companies are more often oriented on export than Moscow ones. These cities have the best conditions for start-ups as well. In the rating of the graduates whereof are in great demand among the IT companies, 8 out of 24 universities are located in St. Petersburg and 6 are in Moscow; St. Petersburg universities keep 2 top positions in the rating.
